Pasta Ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta Your favorite type
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes Use a 14.5 oz can
  • 2 tbsp butter Knob of butter
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • to taste salt Adjust according to preference
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes For heat
Optional Addition
  • 1 cup spinach Add for color and nutrition

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Boil your favorite pasta according to package instructions.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a skillet, sauté minced garlic in olive oil over medium heat until fragrant.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, butter, and salt to the skillet.
Combine and Serve
  1. Toss cooked pasta directly into the skillet with a splash of pasta water.
  2. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and wilted spinach if using.
  3. Serve immediately.

Notes

Save some pasta water for a silkier sauce. Taste and adjust salt after combining.
