Ingrédients
  

For Arroz con Leche
  • 1 cup white rice Rinsed until water runs almost clear.
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust sweetness as desired.
For Churros
  • 1 cup water Heated.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil Neutral oil for frying.
  • 1 cup flour
For Flan
  • 1 cup sugar For caramel.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method
 

Making Arroz con Leche
  1. Rinse the rice until the water runs almost clear.
  2. Add the rice, water, and cinnamon stick to a pot and simmer gently until the rice is tender.
  3. Stir in milk, evaporated milk, vanilla, and sugar.
  4. Simmer on low, stirring often, until creamy. Adjust sweetness and serve warm or chilled.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
Making Churros
  1. Heat water with sugar, salt, and oil until it boils.
  2. Stir in flour until a dough forms.
  3. Let cool slightly, then pipe the dough into hot oil and fry until golden.
  4. Toss in cinnamon sugar while warm and serve with chocolate sauce.
Making Flan
  1. Make caramel by heating sugar in a dry pan until amber.
  2. Pour into a baking dish.
  3. Mix sweetened condensed milk, milk, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Pour custard mix over the caramel in a water bath and bake at low heat until just set.
  5. Chill fully before unmolding.

Notes

Churros are best served fresh. Flan and tres leches taste better the next day. Consider a topping bar for customization.
