  • 1 cup salsa or crushed tomatoes Choose your favorite kind.
  • 1 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed Can substitute with pinto beans.
  • 1 cup corn kernels Fresh or frozen both work.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or pepper jack For a spicier kick, use pepper jack.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook until the meat is browned and the onion is soft. Drain if needed.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and taco seasoning. Toast the spices for about 30 seconds to enhance flavors.
Cooking
  1. Add salsa, black beans, and corn to the skillet. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until everything is hot and well combined.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cover, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Finish with your favorite toppings, and serve with tortilla chips, warm tortillas, or over rice.
  2. For extra flavor, squeeze lime juice and sprinkle with smoked paprika.
